Simulation of energy use talk at CIBSE

Last month Darren Robinson gave a talk as part of the event “Urban microclimate: overcoming obstacles to high density resilient cities” organised by Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

The slides of the talk entitled “On the simulation of energy use in buildings in their urban context…” are available as a part of the “Energy Management” session, via the Adaptation and Resilience in the Context of Change network (ARCC) website:

On the simulation of energy use in buildings in their urban context…

Hello urban world

We are a group of researchers based at the University of Nottingham who are interested in understanding how cities develop and function, and how we can improve on their social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Our interdisciplinary group emerged from the need to have a wide range of expertise in order to understand the complexity of urban environments. As such our backgrounds encompass the physical, computational, economic and social sciences.

In this blog we look forward to sharing our latest work on these topics.
